The Sinead Moriarty collection now available at Chapters Bookstore. Sinead was born and raised in Dublin where she grew up surrounded by books. Her mother is an author of children’s books. Growing up, Sinead says she was inspired by watching her mother writing at the kitchen table and then being published. From that moment on, her childhood dream was to write a novel.
SINÉAD MORIARTY's novels have sold over 900,000 copies in Ireland and the UK. Since the launch of the Irish Book Awards each has been shortlisted in the popular fiction category, with The Way We Were winning in 2015. She won a second IBA for her first YA novel, The New Girl, in 2021. Sinéad lives in her native Dublin with her husband and their three children.
GOOD SISTERS - OUT JULY 4th 2024
After losing their beloved mother, the Devlin sisters need each other more than ever – just in a whole new way . . .
Single parent Louise is raising her little girl to be as independent as she is herself. So when the nine-year-old insists on meeting her Italian father, Louise is snookered. There is nothing for it but for a sisters’ outing to track him down.
Meanwhile, due to her teenage sons’ sporting success, mum-of-four Julie is anointed Cook-Bottlewasher-and-Cheerleader-in-Chief for the parents’ WhatsApp group. Worst. Timing. Ever.
Finally, glamorous Sophie is determined that her daughter won’t be boy-crazy and status-obsessed like she was. But when things go horribly wrong at a teen party, Sophie and her sisters get a rude awakening about growing up in the 2020s.
Squeezed from every side, Louise, Julie and Sophie want to be good sisters – but sometimes that’s easier said than done . .
