A Place for Peace marks the 30th anniversary of the Glencree Centre for Reconciliation. The book features politicians from Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, exparamilitaries, victims of "the troubles", church leaders, Glencree staff and volunteers and others who describe the remarkable impact that Glencree has had on them personally and on the peace process in Northern Ireland more generally. Glencree defines its mission as being to "provide services and facilities which are expressly devoted to the building of peace and reconciliation within and between communities throughout Ireland, Britain and beyond". It does this in Ireland and internationally through political dialogue workshops, alternative dispute resolution, conflict studies, summer schools, and workshops and specific programmes for victims/survivors (LIVE), excombatants, churches, women, schools, young people etc. The Glencree Centre for Reconciliation has made an enormous contribution to the peace process in Ireland, as well as our understanding of how to encourage dialogue and reconciliation in conflicts of all kinds.

Damages and issues

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products or special orders. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
