We're delighted to announce that we can now take trade-ins of your old books online!

It's a straightforward way to declutter your shelves while earning some extra money to spend on new books.

Step 1: Find and Add Your Books

Search using your book's 13-digit ISBN number (found beneath the barcode, starting with 978 or 979) for the most accurate quote, then click the black "Trade In Now" button to add it to your trade-in basket. Select your book's condition (Good, Very Good, or Like New),.We currently have over 100,000 books currently available to trade-in online each book available to Trade In has the black Trade In Button below the "Add To Cart" button. We are adding to the list on a daily basis.

    Step 2: Check Your Quote

Review all selected books in your basket and confirm the total trade-in value. Ensure you're satisfied with the quote and any condition requirements before accepting.

Step 3: Get Your Shipping Label

Trade in five or more books for free postage, or pay standard rates for fewer. Print your shipping label carefully and note the deadline (quotes typically expire within two weeks).

Step 4: Pack and Send Your Books

Secure your books in a sturdy box or padded envelope. Write your trade-in order number clearly on the outside, attach your shipping label, and drop off at any post office (we use An Post for deliveries).

Step 5: Receive Your Gift Card

We'll inspect your books upon arrival and email you the results. Once approved, you'll receive a Chapters digital gift card within a few business days, ready to use on your next literary purchase.

Simple, convenient, and rewarding – turn your old books into new reading adventures whilst giving them a second life!
